Amazon used to offer a nifty Auto Parts Finder widget to Associates, but if you still have one on your website, it is now broken and should be removed. There is still an "Automotive" section on Amazon that Associates may link to, and it has a similar parts finder search, but the Auto Parts Widget itself is kaput.
The widget is broken because it was axed in the October 2010 overhaul of the Amazon Product Advertising API, along with other low usage features. The statement shown below is from the API home page:
API Changes
Due to low usage, the Product Advertising API operations and response groups listed below will not be supported after October 15, 2010:
- Operations: CustomerContentLookup, CustomerContentSearch, Help, ListLookup, ListSearch, TagLookup, TransactionLookup, VehiclePartLookup, VehiclePartSearch, VehicleSearch.
- Response Group: ListmaniaLists, MerchantItemAttributes, PromotionDetails, Subjects, Tags, TagsSummary, VariationMinimum
